Street Photography as an Art: An Overview

Explore styles within the genre of street photography. We’ll focus on capturing candid moments and visual stories of everyday life in the bustling setting of the Santa Monica Ropes & Rings Workout Area. Join me at a group photo walk & find your comfort level with shooting street photos. This is a hybrid class that includes 2 online meetings to discuss street photography and to review photos, as well as an in-person photo session. Any camera may be used.

  • Thursday, 7/16, 6:30pm-8:30pm
    Online Zoom meeting: Overview about street photography, pointers, tips, inspiration.
     
  • Saturday, 7/18, 1:00pm-5:00pm
    In-person photo walk at the Santa Monica Ropes & Rings Workout Area, just south of the Santa Monica Pier at 1700-1746 Ocean Front Walk, Santa Monica, CA 90401. Specific meeting location TBD.
     
  • Thursday, 7/23, 6:30pm-8:30pm
    Online Zoom meeting: Share images and get constructive feedback.
