« back to classes page
Ikebana or “making flowers alive” is the Japanese art of flower arranging. In this class you will learn the techniques and principles of the Sogetsu school, which teaches that anyone can arrange Ikebana, anywhere, with almost anything. Students are encouraged to be imaginative and expressive with their arrangements. If you love flowers, this course was made for you!

Bring garden scissors, 10” or 12” wide by 2” or 3” high shallow ceramic container (Suiban), 3" or 4" wide metal flower pin frog (Kenzan), and a small water bowl (smaller sized Suiban and acrylic Kenzan are NOT recommended for this class).
