Become A Notary Public Or Renew Your Notary Commission (with Exam)

Complete a California Secretary of State-approved course to become a notary. Gain the latest information to pass the state exam and perform your duties accurately. This is a great way to earn extra money, start a business, or enhance your career. The class fee includes a 70-page manual, certificate of completion and sample forms. 

Check-in begins at 8:00 AM with a photo ID. Register with a valid email address. No late admissions are allowed (State requirement). The state exam is conducted the same day at 4:00 PM (in-person classes only). Bring two #2 pencils, a 2”x2” passport-sized color photo, your completed and signed notary application and a $40 check payable to “California Secretary of State.”

Registration closes the day before class meets at 7:59PM.
