Gluten-Free Afternoon Tea

A family friendly Saturday morning that ends in a tea party! Join us for a gluten-free focused afternoon tea class where we’ll explore some classic tea menu items while making them allergen friendly for those in our lives who can’t or don’t eat gluten. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn about various teas as we cook and bake!

On the menu: Cucumber sandwiches on homemade gluten free sandwich bread, Gluten-free scones, Gluten-free chocolate chip cookies.

Ingredients:
4.25 c Gluten-free all purpose flour
3 T Psyullium husk (only IF your flour blend doesn't have xanthan gum in it already)
2 1/4 tsp rapid rise/instant yeast
1 1/2 T baking powder
4 large eggs
1 stick + 2 T butter
1/2 c Nonfat dry milk powder
2.5 c Gluten-free oat flour
1/2 c granulated sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
salt
3/4 tsp vanilla extract or paste
5 oz chocolate chips (can sub other chips)
1 english cucumber
1/4 c mayonnaise
1/3 c milk
fresh or dry dill

Supplies needed:
1 loaf pan
1 or more mixing bowls
1 baking sheet
1 knife
1 cutting board
1 whisk or fork
1 silicone/rubber spatula
aluminum foil
