In physician practice it is common for the Medical Biller to also be the Medical Coder because physicians depend on the Biller/Coder to determine the diagnostic codes for procedures. In this class, you will learn how to find the proper procedure (CPT-4) and diagnostic codes (ICD-10), how to do proper code sequencing, and when to use these codes.

Prerequisite: Medical Terminology or experience in the medical field.
Required Textbooks: ICD-10-CM (any publisher PHYSICAL or e-book) and CPT (published by AMA PHYSICAL or e-book). 2nd-hand for class practice only (as old as 2022). Purchase 2026 editions if taking the license exam in 2026. Purchase 2027 editions if taking the license exam in 2027.
